As mentioned during our conversation, our goal is to provide consistency with our swim coaches. All of our coaches are Aqua-Tots Water Safety certified, ensuring they are equipped to deliver the highest quality of teaching. While occasional changes in instructors are common in the recreational industry with perpetual swim lessons—and this is mentioned in our waiver—we strive to minimize disruptions. Regardless of any changes, our structured curriculum and rigorous monthly in-service training ensure that the quality of instruction remains consistent across all lessons.
We also wanted to note that your family’s swim journey with us was relatively short, with just one lesson per week. While this schedule can work well for many families, it often means progress takes longer, particularly in Levels 3 and 4, where more fundamental skills are introduced. Swimming skills develop best through repetition and consistent practice. For families seeking faster progress, we recommend multi-day plans to provide more frequent practice opportunities and enhance skill retention.
Regarding your concern about progression through swim levels, our curriculum is designed to guarantee that every child masters the necessary skills before advancing to the next level. This approach prioritizes the safety and confidence of each swimmer. When an instructor believes their student is ready to move up, one of our Master Water Safety Instructors, such as Coach Foad, conducts a detailed evaluation. Feedback from these evaluations helps students and instructors focus on areas requiring additional practice to ensure skill mastery.
