My husband, daughter, her fianc and I just got back from the Luxury Kenya tour and we were thrilled with the trip. All the accommodations were beyond our expectations. The food was outstanding but the best part of the trip was our guide Alex. He was knowledgeable and a lot of fun to spend a week with. You will not believe how close you get to the animals especially the cats. It's a lot of time in the safari vehicle and rather bumpy but so worth it. We did not do the hot air balloon ride. I would highly recommend this trip.

One of my family members contacted Lion World Tours about a 3 person trip to Tanzania. After the sales rep made an itinerary I called her to ask some questions about the lodges and the pricing. I asked her if she had been to all the lodges herself (she hasn't, by the way), and if we could change one of them. She was then shockingly rude to me. She said that having 3 people contact her with thoughts was too confusing and that "she can't work like this, and we need to come together with a plan and only one person can talk to her." She also said that she "wasn't going to spend and more time on this trip until a deposit has been put down." She had been contacted less than a week prior and this my very first call with her. I have NEVER been pushed that hard to put money down. The sales reps need to have more patience. For previous trips I exchanged many emails with other tour companies before we had a final plan - this standard for custom trip this big. The itinerary was also sloppy and had a bizarre mix of luxury and budget lodges, starting with luxury and ending with budget. It was also more expensive than other companies, and they clearly don't send the sales reps to all the lodges so they can't really advise you on the them.
