Bronte Business Improvement Area (BIA)

Unresponsive and Dysfunctional. Don't be fooled by the ones you think are nice or smart business people. They have immature, childish sides to them. Sean as the experienced town councilor who oversees them and the executive director who took over from Ann needs to pull up their socks. They are unbelievably unresponsive. But Sean gets to fly under the radar, getting away with doing little to nothing. Beth Robertson may yet prove to bring some change to this situation, but until then, until she starts to throw her weight, Bronte BIA ratings remain low with us.

The Bronte BIA is a little fiefdom unto themselves. Some members have a sense of entitlement and they will go to any extent to protect their position of 'power'. They certainly do not represent or promote all business, organisations or people within the town of Bronte. The board of directors (not all) treat it like an exclusive club. and not all ideas to attract business to the town are embraced, certainly not if it did not come from within 'the club'. Many businesses in Bronte are not happy with their BIA.

Our $150 night out on a quiet Thursday night, trying to support local restaurants during Covid, turned into a $400 night after being towed by Phil's Towing from a commercial lot. We were not trying to be sneaky, we didn't see the signs because of darkness. This was not during a weekend or festival where the area was a zoo. Greasy greasy move and we will not be dining in Bronte again as a result.
