5 rating for Inside emergency doctor in navy uniform and nurse in black uniform were awesome doctor gave me info handouts, BUT zero for the rest! Emergency entrance triage was like everyone one in break time,Absolutely out of order place, their facial mask is all over the place & sick people can touch and so transmit to others, bad triage #1 never at desk, triage # 2 great at desk but when first triage wont do their job triage#2 cant do nothing ,the emergency considered full and busy with only 5-10 ppl for the whole night.not what you expect from a modern hospital, after accompanying some one to emergency, I got sick badly to the point next night I had to go for my self.. and NO BODY DISINFECT THE CHAIRS OR DOOR HANDLE ( been there for too long cause they put something else than the actual reason of my visit, Lol) jokes on them cause I had long time to observe while suffering in fever and pain.

Full Dislosure. I'm sitting in the ER writing this. I wasn't able to sleep or eat for over a week. Was in tremendous pain in a variety of areas. In that week I went to another hospital and was dismissed. Within 3 hours of being at Soldiers. I was admitted, tested, and given a diagnoses. If you are in pain, you don't have to be, the people at Soldiwra will believe you and work diligently to figure it out.

Edit: UPDATE! Their diagnosis was completely wrong!!! I'm glad my relative is out of their care! Turns out they don't care about elderly and just write them off because they're old. ** Unfortunately, this is the nearest accessible hospital for one of my relatives. If they were stable enough, my family would have moved them a long time ago. This is the worst hospital weve been to. The nurses are the most useless I have ever met/seen. Highly unprofessional, always chatting, giggling at their phones, complain about work and have a 0 sense of urgency. Its simple to set expectations with a patient/with their families if someone cant come right away, but they dont. They lack compassion for patients and expect families to know what theyre talking about instead of taking the time to explain the patients diagnosis/next steps/care info etc. God forbid you have to call for a nurse scrolling through their phone at the nursing station. They dont even look at you when they respond. They drag their feet, sigh and give you tone if you request assistance for your loved one. They have also been incorrect about my loved ones condition and have caused them more strain then they should have gone through. The literal writings on the wall about respect do not mean a single thing in this hospital. The other reviews are right. Dont stay at this hospital unless youre literally 10 seconds from dying. If you get a diagnosis from here, get a second opinion. Short staffed or not, theres absolutely no reason for this staff to be condescending and unprofessional as they are.

This place has always been great from my experiences. Surgeons and nurses are on point! Couldnt find a bad thing to say if I tried. Fast, efficient and caring people work here! Since Covid the medical field has been over worked and understaffed/under appreciated. Yet they still do an outstanding job. Nothing but positive vibes from Nick , I would recommend this hospital 1000 Times and then some! Thank you for everything you guys do ! Orillia is lucky to have Soldiers Memorial. And it shouldnt be taken for granted.

Though more people waiting then seats to sit in at one point, service took place in a reasonable time. Service is based on severity of injury or illness. Friendly atmosphere despite everything.
