Outstanding service at a very fair cost. Kudos to Jeff and Steph, who collectively turned a desperate situation into a cake walk. Instant response. Professional, courteous treatment. These guys are ambassadors for how automotive repair service should look. We are convinced that there is no problem that these guys cannot solve. I am fairly new to Ottawa so I consulted my neighbourhood Facebook page for recommendation of a garage for some car maintenance. One garage got multiple votes and that was MCCARTHY automotive so it was an easy choice. The recommendation was spot on. Service was efficient, prompt, courteous, and most importantly fair. I needed oil change; brake check and transmission check. They were excellent at explaining what they looked at, what they recommended, and what they suggest could be left for a later date. They really built confidence with me with their detailed approach and no attempt to sell me a lot of extras. Both my brakes and transmission needed fluid changes and nothing more.
