Novatech Disaster Restoration

Our insurance hired this company after a flood in our basement. I wished I had looked at their reviews before the work started. They were scheduled to start in a month but I didn't hear from them for 8 weeks. When they did finally come, they did a week of work and disappeared for another month without any communication and wouldn't answer calls or emails. When things were finally done, I was told they would reimburse me for a vanity I had purchased but after several attempts to get in contact with them, I had to get my insurance to reimburse me. Overall, super unprofessional, terrible communication and a bad experience.

They acted quickly to see the damage , but, due to Convid19, or not enough workers to show up , the damaged fence was completed 5mths later, all done, but , I had to finish a last part myself to put up a damaged privity screen as the worker mentioned not on contract or not covered or forgotten by contractor , in nay case it was built well by one worker installer of the small portion of the the linking fence.

If you like it when companies never call or email you back and you have to wait forever to get work done, then this is the company for you! They were the recommended contractor by my insurance company, bummer I didn't take the "I'll find my own" option. Tornado damage from September 2018, it's August 1st 2019...work isn't done. There is a trick, if you call your insurance and get angry at the lack of progress and communication, they call DKI and that gets them to call you back. Still no work done though.

Horrible experience had a minor basement flood and my insurance sent Novatech to estimate repairs. Estimator / project manager came by took some pictures and said we will send this to insurance and they will contact you to discuss further... One week goes by not one word from insurance or Novatech. Following Monday morning, get up to go to work to find a black van sitting in my driveway with two guys sitting in it. I ask them what they are doing there and they say we are here to start removal and repairs to basement... No one called me to advise or even tell me someone was coming I never even got an estimate to how much these repairs will cost my insurance.. That's fine move a few meetings around show them in... They work for about 2 hours then leave... I was thinking they would come back in the afternoon or at least next morning WRONG they came back on the next Monday and again worked for 2 hours maybe less... I then called the Project manager to see what the hell was going on only to be told they are very busy and the job should be completed in 2-3 weeks etc etc.. Fast forward, another week and still no one has come by. I wish I could post pictures here this is a 1 week repair max if they worked all day for 5 days.. At this pace if they ever come back it will take 2-3 months and not there quoted 2-3 weeks.. I honestly dont know what they are doing but I will be filling a complaint with BBB and my insurance company later this week.. If your insurance company deals with Novatech get the quote from them and get the work done by someone else.
