I was found NCR of a matter about 10 years ago. My former lawyer was exceptional, and upon his retirement, he recommend Shira Brass to represent me. I met with Shira in advance of an ORB hearing with the intention to be absolutely discharged from the Ontario Review Board. Shira has a great understanding of the law, and her outlook was that I didnt pose any risk to public safety. This was the truth, and Shira was very determined to bring the truth to the hearing. She is an exceptional advocate, uses the evidence at hand to make the best possible case while presenting in a very articulate and succinct way. Shira has both excellent attention to the details of the case with a big picture understanding of how the case looks. She asked great questions to highlight the positives from my Doctor. At the end of the ORB hearing, all parties agreed with our position that an absolute was the correct outcome of the hearing. Im very grateful to be a free man from the NCR and review board system, and Shiras representation was excellent. I would recommend her to anyone who is in mental health court, or the NCR review board. She has excellent knowledge of that niche within the law.
