I used to struggle a lot with my mental health, it took him a short amount of time to help me figure out what was wrong when most therapists couldn't. Also he wouldn't prescribe me medication unless he knew it could help my condition, plus my family doctor would check with his prescription reccomendation to make sure it was right for me if he did prescribe anything.

I saw him from ages 7-23 and around at 22 years old he gave me olanzapine to treat the psychosis from vyvanse. This RUINED my life. When he shouldve just simply taken me off vyvanse, he instead prescribed me with another medication with HORRIBLE side effects. Not only did I gain 60 pounds from it, but I became so sick physically and mentally that i was no longer able to work. I barely left my bed for 3 years on that medication. I could not retain new information, I could not speak fluently as I would stutter and forget words or what I was talking about. I was lethargic and could not preform basic daily tasks as I needed to constantly rest. Standing up for more than 10 minutes began to hurt all over. This pill did nothing but make me sick. But I continued to take it as I figured at some point the side effects should stop (was not thinking clearly due to the meds). I began abusing my vyvanse to keep me awake as I could not stop sleeping. I was prescribed 60mg which is the legal limit in Canada. Each day I was taking around 115mg just trying to stay awake long enough to preform tasks. This made my skin and eyes yellow as my liver began to go. ***HERE IS THE BEST PART ABOUT DR. DOIRON*** after my friend reported my medication abuse to him, he not only cancelled my prescription (which he shouldve done years ago.) but he GHOSTED ME!!! I tried to contact him saying how much better I was feeling and how I also came off the olanzapine and he never answered me again. Why he ghosted me when he prescribed me drug that is HIGHLY ABUSED BY SO MANY PEOPLE. Absolutely disgusting. Never recommended.
