perfect for our family, we were 3 adult and 2 toddlers, and we fit largelly in the room. the kitchen inside the room is well equiped for making small meal. the leanving room is pretty big too and the bedroom with the 2 beds are large. bathroom was clean. the pool was perfect for us. we were the only one using it the 2 times we went there. and the odor of chlorine is light enough so we are not troubled by it.

Booked this hotel over the long weekend in May and was thoroughly impressed. This hotel would commonly be considered a mid-market offering and yet everything far exceeded expectations. In fact, when compared to the 4 star hotel we stayed at next in MTL (which was double the price and lacking in so many areas), Homewood Suites was a dream. But I digress, Homewood Suites decor is warm and inviting. The lobby is cheerful to complement the hotel's attentive and upbeat staff. The parking is plentiful and free. And the buffet breakfast hit the spot. All this for an affordable price means you're getting a lot of bang for your buck in a comfortable home away from home. We stayed on the 5th floor in a room that resembled a bachelor apartment (hotel style). There was a fully equipped kitchen, work station and couch along with comfortable king bed, makeup station, and separate shower/toilet. The feather pillows made our sleep absolutely comfortable while the Hilton toiletries left our hair and body silky smooth - the room comes with amazing shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. In my opinion the location is perfect. The hotel is a short 15-20 minutes from downtown Ottawa (ByWard Market). Alternatively the Glebe is even closer and Elgin Street offerings are situated somewhat in the middle. If you're visiting someone attending Carleton Univiersity, the parkway will put you a stone's throw from your destination. Originally from Ottawa, I have family in the South end which put me at close proximity to visit. My niece even joined me for a quick swim in the pool while my daughter took to the hotel gym. As a former local and someone who is not interested in joining 20-some-year-olds clubbing, downtown has actually lost a lot of its appeal. If you're like me, perhaps try the Gatineau parks, Wellington West, or Westboro Beach for some beachside Jamaican snacks and music. Noteworthy details: Great location. Amazing toiletries. Comfortable bed AND plush pillows. Spacious rooms.
