Holiday Inn Express & Suites Downtown Ottawa East, an IHG Hotel

Safety: If you like to stay in a drug infested homeless neighbourhood then this is the place for you. The EMS station attached to the hotel is convenient for the drug ODs. Lots of sirens and noise all day and night! Had front row seats to witness addicts in action and a nice tent city view! Update! Property manager got ahold of me to work out my issues the week after our stay. After talking like he really didn"t care about my issues he said he would refund me one night of my two night stay. That would have been perfect. Except one thing. That refund never happened. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever had!!! (May 23)

I went with my family and my friends family, we stayed on the 4th floor, location wise it is close to all attractions in Ottawa downtown, walkable distance of 10 to 15 mins.Rooms are good, cleaned, well maintained. Reception is good. They have breakfast included so it helped us in a great way, breakfast had all the standard options - Bread, Bagel, Eggs, Turkey, Oat, Juices, fruits and the main attractions was the Pancake machine. I will recommend them to clean the rooms on daily basis which was actually missing during my stay. Elevator was slow so it took some time, but overall had good experience and will definitely stay with them again.
