W.E. Gowling Public School

Will lock your child in a room alone making them feel isolated. My son feels fear going to this school. Staff will bully your child. They will try to force you to give medication that makes your child sick. They do not listen or care about your child's physical or mental well being or how they are hurting it. Will have your child leaving school saying "I'm the bad kid" or "my teachers say I'm the bad one". Once they they let my son run all the way down the block onto the street and play in traffic on merivale because they didn't want to touch him and thought letting him get hit by a car was a better idea. The principal is a bully and the programs they claim to have programs to help troubled children, well no because the principal refuses to let the child access the services by sending them home over every any imperfection in the day. Staff is rude to parents and does not care if you loose your job from daily calls. Overall abusive environment. I do not recommend you send your child here.

The ECE's of the before and after care program are magnificent and my son is so happy. However the bus monitors will harass parents in the morning. In the handful of times I had parked in the bus loading zone at 7:58am after all the busses are gone, they are very angry and yell at me when no busses are around to yell at me about. I find it interesting how they're not working all hours of the day about this considering how passionate they are. The principle was dismissive when I brought it to her attention.
