If you are losing beard hairs and eyebrow hairs, and accounted for other health factors, and you live near this place, it could be the water from your shower. Get a shower filter and don't drink straight out of the tap. The "treated water" is probably more concentrated the closer you live to this place.

I regularly hike around the Britannia Water Purification Plant as part of my longer hike at Britannia Conservation Area. It's a great area for Nature viewing and birding.

I visited this place some years ago when it was open to public on a Doors Open day in early June. The staff was very competent and explained water-purification process from the beginning of rough filter to addition of chlorine. One visitor asked the difference between chlorine and fluorine, and the staff was able to give technical answer. Great!
