Owen Sound Hospital : Emergency Room

I brought a friend here who has been suffering for over a year from physical pain. Upon bringing my friend to the hospital, I admit she was initially treated kindly by ONLY the receptionist and Triage nurse. From than on, the nurse that brought my friend to the emergency room, and the rest that hung around their computer area, were completely unkind, judgemental, racist and rude to my friend. I stayed in an attempt to advocate, but after waiting 3 hours, and watching the nurses mistreat my friend again, we had to leave. We felt there was no point in staying, seeing how poorly the patients were treated. I have family who are registered nurses, one who works in owensound hospital. And I've never once seen them, or any other nurses treat people the way these miserable women treated the patients. Im scared for the day I or anyone else I love need emergency care from this hospital, because the level of pure disregard my friend faced, was disgusting. Do better owensound. I get the medical field is hard, I cant say I know the struggle from a professional perspective. I can say however that, this is why there are so many deaths in the area. So many people are too scared or frustrated to seek help when they need it, especially if they can't get a family Doctor. You're all they have to turn to, and you treat them like garbage.

Emerg doctors refuse to help and do any other tests than blood work. Rush you out the door without actually looking into problems. Doctor leaves patient feeling hopeless and helpless with no other solutions to the problem.
