Grey Bruce Health Services - Owen Sound

Absolutely ridiculous. Only one doctor working (according to the triage nurse) on a busy Saturday night. I arrived at 8pm, been registered and had my vitals taken immediately and asked to wait. At 2 am (after 6 hours), the triage nurse gives me Tylenol, for whatever reason. At 4:30 am, my name is called and I am transferred to a small cold room. It's 5:30 am now and I am still waiting there. Yes, almost 10 hours of wait to be seen, yet, by a doctor. Call 911 and get here in an ambulance if you want to get treated..

I had my appointment for an EEG at ten am this morning. I am beyond pleased with this hospital. I spend sometime just now reading the low reviews, I would bet a small sum they are mostly drug seekers. Not a single member of staff I seen was anything but wonderful. There was no staff making fun of patients in the waiting rooms or people being rudely dismissed. I felt like a bit of a pain to Deanna, yet she was extremely polite and helpful. We engaged in conversation whilst she was getting me setup. I had a great time, which considering why most of us are in the hospital, is a rather important thing for ones wellbeing. You guys are excellent.

Dr.Becks is a wonderful Dr. Who is very thorough and I highly recommend him for hormone levels in his patients! Doctor who does his research that's for sure! Can't wait to hear what is next for me! Hope and pray we get some results! Hopefully the next thing for me is positive as it can be, and a resolution is found!

So basically it's been 4 hours waiting in Emerg and not even seen..... Broken hospital, save your time and skip Update, it is now 5 hours now in a room. Been waiting addition 50 minutes in a room lol.... I get doctors and whatnot. Nurse this and that. But 5 hours is pretty excessive.... Especially when the population of the city is small... Nothing like the GTA...... Update - 5.5 hours it's been now, basically to be seen by a doctor you have to wait half of the doctors shift worth. Even then, not seen still....
