Knights Inn Colonial Fireside Inn

My fiance Michael Runtz and I have stayed here often and highly recommend it. The owners and staff are wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have very comfortable beds. We usually stay in the room with a fireplace, they have full fridges, microwaves, sofas, and large screen TVS. As avid naturalists and photographers we like to use this as a base camp when we visit the Barron Canyon in the winter. Best place and great prices.

The gentleman at the desk was very very friendly, nice and helpful. Also, accepted cash where other motels in the Pembroke area would not. Noteworthy details: Right next to the skidoo trail.

I wouldn't dare say that this is a low-end hotel with poor facilities and poor management. The biggest problem is how low-level the staff here is. First, I had already paid and checked into the hotel, but I was about to receive payment again. You could say I didn't know about that situation. Then I talked with the arrival to find an official receipt for tax reporting purposes, and it was not issued. So I asked to send it by e-mail, but in the end there was no answer. Then he said he would receive a security deposit of $200. So I paid with a credit card. Then, after 3 hours, they said they would refund, and I used my credit card again to get a refund, but the money hasn't returned yet. Does it make sense to spend $300 for a night in a hotel like this? We hope that those who choose this hotel will think carefully again.
