My Mom is in Marianhill and not allowed AC in her room, it has been 33c, 32, 31,. Even when I leave at night at 9:30 pm her room is 31c, 30. Marianhill is saying that the old Wiring cant withstand the AC. But I know family have had AC for 8 years and longer. Whats the difference now, all of sudden No AC. So the CEO says that the main lobby, dining rooms and the auditorium are cool to take the residences and pile them up in theses room to stay cool. So no Tv, No music and no Alarm Bells ifs residence needs help. The Staff is so short handed they stay at their stations for the ones that have to stay in their beds, so who looks after the ones they line up like cattle. Like my Mother she wont leave her room because she is not one to be around others, her room is her safe place., and who wants to be put in the main lobby where everyone comes in and sees you. But on the other hand Im there every night and I have never seen anyone that cant walk in the lobby. So when the rooms get really hot at night are they supposed to take their beds and put them in the lobby to sleep at night cause their rooms are so bloody hot, No They Cant As They Are On Oxygen. Some rooms have 3 - 4 fans going. The CEO says they are building a new section to upgrade and this will take 3 - 5 years. So in the meant time for those years the Elderly Of Marianhill Have To Suffer With The Heat In The Summer. But the CEO and all the Offices Of Marianhill all have AC. They say Dont Leave Children In The Heat Or Animals, But Its alright To Leave Our Elderly to Suffer In The Heat.

Beware!!! Over 30 C and residents are not allowed air conditioning.. our most frail seniors being forced to suffer.
