This is the best primary school I could ask for. The teachers are professional, emotionally intelligent partners in learning, especially for parents who speak primarily English and want their children to have a French education. Of course parents should also make the effort to communicate in French for the children's benefit. The teachers were absolutely amazing during the closures and I admire their dedication and innovation, this is a well trained staff who communicates with each other and parents during unforseen circumstances such as power outages or crises in the community occurring during school hours. L'quinoxe has responsible and mature secondary students, I am always impressed seeing what they are active in the community doing. They make good role models to the primary students; before closures you would often see them hosting open house nights at the school. The school itself is attached to Festival Hall, a centre for community Arts and this greatly benefits students as does the full service kitchen facilities and cafeteria. There is an abundance of healthy food available at quinoxe. Even for primary students who bring their lunches - there is often a fresh smoothie or banana or other snack such as popcorn in the classroom offered for them. L'quinoxe administration are clear, prompt communicators and truly care about the children and the life of the school. They take conflict resolution among students seriously and model a mutually beneficial approach including reflection and reconciliation. L'quinoxe cares about sports and physical activity and they do not overexpose the children to technology in classrooms. They are active with the library and alternative learning styles. I am impressed with the intercultural programming and think L'quinoxe is miles ahead of other schools in the area for providing students with age appropriate, honest, critical content and community connections. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. Je suis fire que mes enfants sont Franco-Ontarienne maintenant. Un gros merci a L'cole quinoxe.
