This specific church has been the second home to me for many years. But recently there has been an experience that I will never forget. They took advantage of my mother who had been going to this church a lot longer than I had. She trusted them and they truly used her for every bit that they could get out of her. Just so they wouldnt be burdened down with her anymore or have to pick her up for church, which they neglected for the last year that she was here, they convinced her to go to a home/hospital in Hamilton. They lied to her saying that it was the best place that she should be and made the place sound really nice Needless to say however, it was far from the truth. All her belongings that she owned in her life she was forced to sell it and the other half they gave away or they kept it Nobody notified me and my mother wasnt aware that my phone wasnt working at the time. When this church came to my house three times to bring smaller boxes (3) in total. I had asked them to contact my son and I was going to give them the phone number but they had left without getting it. They gave my mothers bed away with the duvet and all the linen that we had been given her by family and took her dishes and broke up the only wall unit my grandmother left her. And the pastor had given the OK to do so. And now this person is holding $800 of the items they did sell for my mother asking for 300 more just to bring a chair and some items that are left to her in Hamilton. The $300 would cover the cost of a rental so that they can vacation up in Hamilton in the general area on my mothers dime. Keeping in mind that my mother has no more money left, she had to pay up to $3000 just to stay where she is. So shame on this church for doing this to my mother and asking even for more money when the woman has nothing left and putting her that far away from home so now shes no one to spend Christmas with when it comes around every year Plus other things. I gave a chance for this church to get a hold of me and return the bed with the covers and the duvet and the linen plus dishes and her vacuum cleaner and other items that they had given away. Theyre holding the rest of the items at the church hostage until she pays them more money. This is a real shame and a sin for what these people have done to my mother but God clearly says in the Bible vengeance is mine says the Lord I want these items returned and the money theyre holding given back to my mother. My mother calls me on a daily basis now crying and its hurting me to hear her. Do the right thing pastor and stop letting the members run you and start taking control.
