Contacted this group looking for a structural engineer to help us with a project that was well underway. When we first contacted them they were pretty responsive and eager to help. They sent us a quote (even before a site visit) after an initial conversation with my husband. They wanted us to send a deposit before any work started but I wanted to have another meeting beforehand so I could make sure they understood our needs and I could build confidence in the fact that they would be able to handle our work. Since this was a project we were eager to start we just wanted confirmation that they knew what we were looking for and potentially do a site visit so we could talk through the challenges in our project. After sending a bunch of follow up emails, and voicemails they just went dark. At one point my husband even had a quick chat with the engineer assigned to our project and we asked if now was a good time to talk and he said no, not really.. Im quite busy. Can you call back tomorrow? and so we did and no response. The admin told us he wasnt in the office and she didnt know when hed be back. I mean. if you didnt want the work they could have just let us know even with a quick email as opposed to stringing us along. Really poor communication and unprofessional. On another note we ended up going with deKoning Engineers and they have been fantastic! so if anyone is looking for structural engineers up in the Muskoka area. Id highly recommend. Nick DeKoning and his team are amazing to work with!
