In the spring of 2022, my wife and I had just had a baby, and were making the move from Mississauga to Bracebridge. We were working with another realtor who seemed a bit disinterested, when a family member suggested using John Joseph. Upon meeting, he was friendly, eager, and diligent. We were out of towners, and John Joseph worked tirelessly around our schedule to find our first home, one to raise our daughter in. We wouldnt think twice about using his service again whenever that time comes.

I have worked with many agents on their property listings and John Joseph is one of the best at knowing what he wants from his marketing tools from the 360 Tour to the aerial videos to the walk-through videos the full package really showcased the home and resulted in multiple offers well above listing. No matter what I write in this review, it will undoubtably fall short of how incredible, my experience buying our first home with John Joseph Mitchell truly was. First and foremost buying a home is unequivocally the most stressful experience I have encountered in my life, This was my first real-estate transaction experience and thankfully we had the wonderful guidance of John Joseph (J.J.) to help us get through it. Tenacity would be an understatement to describing J.J.'s work ethic. We were not your typical client, we had a very large search radius, spanning from Orillia, Guelph/Kitchener, the G.T.A. and everywhere in-between. J.J. did an amazing job setting up our search perimeters, we did not make it easy on him my partner needed to be within and hour and a half of Toronto for work, and I needed a large detached garage to help run my business out-of. All with a fairly limited budget and the added difficulty of being self employed where every house we saw had to be approved by my lender. This did not deter J.J. we spent a lot of time looking at the listings he sent us, and discussing the pros/cons, or any concerns we had about the listings prior to booking any showings. J.J. in my opinion is second to none in co-ordinating open houses/walkthroughs. Both my partner and I work full time taking a day or two off was a lot to manage with our busy schedules. J.J. accommodated our availability, and managed to book sometimes up to 10 showings in one day (at our request) to truly make the most out of our time so as not to detract from our work schedules. That being said there were times where we happened to be up north for the weekend visiting family allowing us to see one or two homes on a more relaxed schedule. We were living in Toronto at the time while looking for houses, and didn't want to waste time commuting in Toronto Traffic needlessly. J.J. can, and has accommodated both ends of the spectrum, and made is seamless for us, even on those 10 house showing days, the day felt relaxed. J.J. scheduled time for a picnic in a park one day which was pretty special and gave us a glimpse of what living in the area may look like. If that isn't enough when it came to putting in an offer on a house, J.J. was right there every step of the way. He included in the closing details, a home inspection to help protect us. We are so thankful he did as we were able to amend the contract, to get the price reduced after seeing the house needed some minor work. He offered 3 different inspectors that he had worked with in the past, as well as recommended a couple lawyers in the area he knew of, as we didn't know any. All of this ultimately helped us to facilitate the transaction with our Mortgage broker who we had before through a family connection. J.J. really helped us put together quite an impressive real-estate team to make the closing as streamline as possible. On closing we had a couple of hick-ups at no fault of our team, the Sellers were going through a divorce and were delaying the close. They left it to last minute, but ultimately everyone agreed to the contract. J.J. was there with us checking in on the progress and even helped to co-ordinating between my Lawyers, Mortgage and Insurance broker. As I was on multiple calls at closing going over our different option, he helped manage our stress levels and communicating with all relevant parties. As I write this in my office of our new home, I am happy to say I am still receiving listings for new properties from J.J. We have our sights set on buying a cottage in the future and I wouldn't want anyone else helping me on that journey other than my friend and Realtor John Joseph Mitchell. Thanks you J.J. We couldn't be happier and we know anyone looking for a realtor will have no better service than with you! If you are in the market for a realtor be it buying or selling a home, you would be remiss not giving J.J. call.
