If youre looking for a caring, compassionate and supportive funeral home and/or director I would steer well clear of this business. I dealt with Gary Eides and he is probably one of the most crooked and ignorant owners of a business Ive had to deal with. This funeral home and its employees took advantage of me at one of the hardest times in my life. I lost several immediate family members in a 7 month span. I used this home for my fathers cremation. They served me with a civil suit less than 6 weeks after my fathers passing. I was paying for two funerals and doing the best I could given what I was experiencing and dealing with emotionally. They were very rude, unprofessional, demanding, and also misspelled my familys name even though I had written the obituary myself with proper spellings. This establishment couldnt freeze water in the Arctic if their life depended on it. These people also own McGuintys funeral home in North Bay, which they were sued over from the previous owner. They have run the well respected McGuinty name into the ground. In my opinion, DO NOT USE THE POOR SERVICES offered by this establishment. Save yourself the heartache and wasted memorialization of your loved ones. These people didn't care about me, they won't likely care about you either. In hindsight I should have chosen Paul Funeral Home in Powassan.

My family uses the other funeral service in town. Building looks nice and is newer.
