I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this law firm regarding a landlord and tenant issue. I initially reached out to Samantha Glass on April 8, 2022, and she provided helpful information about my situation (my landlord wanted to raise the rent, and when that was rejected, they claimed their family needed to move in). I signed a contract with Samantha and communication began on May 11, 2022. However, after that initial email, there was no further communication. I patiently waited until July before trying to contact Samantha, only to discover she was on vacation. Eventually, on July 29, 2022, I was informed by Zeeshan Rahman that Samantha had stepped away from active practice and my case had been transferred to him. I was frustrated by the lack of communication and not being given the opportunity to choose a new representative or have my money refunded. Working with Zeeshan was also disappointing, as I had to constantly follow up with him. My hearing was scheduled for September 6, 2022, and I received no information from him until 2 PM on the Friday before the hearing, leaving me only three hours to prepare. When I decided to cancel their services, Zeeshan responded quickly, but with a dismissive attitude, stating that three hours was more than enough time. To make matters worse, I had a remaining balance in my account and requested a refund. They agreed to return the amount, but it took seven months of waiting and multiple emails to finally receive it. I had to involve the entire firm by CC'ing everyone in my correspondence to finally get my refund. I waited 7 months to get my refund back, Unbelievable right??? In conclusion, I spent money and time on this law firm, only to be met with poor communication, lack of professionalism, and additional stress. I even had to fight for my own refund after terminating their services. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking legal representation.

When our apartment faced a fairly large rental AGI (above guideline increase) Zeeshan Rahman helped us navigate the process with the Landlord Tenant Board. He was very knowledgeable and professional at all times, ensuring that we understood the process, options available to us and helped set realistic expectations - which resulted in successfully negotiating more favourable solution. We are very happy with his services and recommend the firm enthusiastically.

Why I recommend SFG. I am from Kingston Ontario, and I was involved in a Small Claims matter. Although I was studying Law I knew at Trial I'd be in over my head. Samantha and her partner Dan reviewed the case that was scheduled for a full day of trail the following week. They showed up for Trial and the two of them helped me WIN! Samantha also invited me to complete my Law Clerk hours, and I have recently graduated. I am now looking forward to helping more clients from the Kingston Ontario area find this firm.

Samantha is knowledgeable and experienced paralegal. She has an excellent grasp of the legal concepts. She knows her job and makes sure her clients are happy and satisfied. The whole work environment is great.
