I was with this company for four years before I had any issues. I called to cancel my home insurance as I received a better rate through my husband's insurance. I specifically asked if there would be any fees to cancel and I was told no. To my surprise, the next month I was charged an extra $115. When I inquired through email, no one including John Palmerio could explain the breakdown of the extra fees. I just wanted an explanation. At one point John responded that the the extra fees were because I was behind on my payments, which is completely untrue and actually insulting. Finally after 8 emails, John was able to give me an exact breakdown of the fees that made up the $115, but again accusing me of being behind on payments from four years ago. I have never once missed a payment. I appreciate companies that are transparent with fees and offer disclosure when asked. I will certainly not be renewing my insurance this year.
