Capoeira Malês Scarborough

My child absolutely loves going to Kids Capoeira classes! She gets upset at me if we ever miss one of her classes. It is truly a beautiful martial art that brings together self defence, acrobatics and music. The teaching methods are high quality. Practical progressions based on childrens age and abilities with ways for them to continue practicing at home as well. You will see your children progress quickly! Their extensive time playing in the roda also boosts their confidence level and skills in reacting / recovery and improvisation. I highly recommend!

Since sending my kids to Capokids in Scarborough, I have seen how much their confidence and skills have dramatically improved. The classes are high energy with movement, dance and songs to help all students learn in a safe, clean environment. Instructor Tropa is impressive. He is very kind, knowledgeable and great with children. Instructor Tropa cultivates skills and strength based on his passion for teaching and patience. He encourages a team-focused environment where everyone is welcomed and supported, regardless of ability or strength. We all have teachers in our lives that will not give up on us and will help us grow; that is precisely who instructor Tropa is. We are so lucky we found Capokids; I highly recommend Capokids in Scarborough to anyone.

I was looking to sign up my children (along with my-middle-aged-self) in a physical activity, and with Capoeira, we received so much more than just a workout! Istructor Tropa, aside from being quite welcoming, is very patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. The fact that we've never taken martial arts before, I thought this would be too challenging, especially for me. It turns out that it was exactly what my children, and I, needed. It pushed us out of our comfort zones, increased our self-confidence, and made us realize we can accomplish things we never thought possible. I am seeing positive changes in my children, and myself, and in just a few short months! My friends also noticed these changes and signed their children up, as well. In Capoeira Mals, besides getting a great workout, we found a supportive community, are learning about another culture and language, but most importantly we are having fun doing it!!

I signed my kids up for Capoeira and was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the sport that was provided!! My kids love going and enjoy the classes. I highly recommend them!!
