With a heavy heart I am writing this. I filed for Islamic divorce with darul iftaa and sent the first notice in November 2021, the communication system wasn't upto the mark from the beginning but at least I was getting replies even if they were delayed. The second notice was supposed to sent in December 2021 and I didn't receive the copy of it so I started emailing them from start of January, I kept trying to get a response through emails and phones for about a month and no response at all and on Saturday 29th January I got the response that my ex claimed that there is a civil matter going on in the court between us and darul iftaa mentioned that so they won't proceed the process as it's mentioned in the form which I signed it (in my earlier package I provided them with the proof of of my civil Divorce which I think nobody bother to look at) and I am disappointed more because of the fact that even if it was the response from the other party they didn't feel any need to contact me or inform me (I am main applicant). Only I know how much hard it was to pay 300 dollars for me and keep running after them to get a response . I hope they develop some empathy and responsibility so if someone is already having hard life it doesn't get harder.
