We blew 2 tires on our camper the Sunday of a holiday weekend. Our road side assistance was useless. We should have called the OPP first. The officer went out of his way to get us a company to help us with the trailer and make sure we were safe.

I was coming home late at night from a trip to Ottawa when my gps suddenly led me off the main road into somewhere in North Frontenac/Ompah area. I was stranded in the middle of the forest on roads that were undrivable, with no one around, no road signs and no cellular service, I had no idea where I was. I tried connecting to emergency services six times but on the seventh try I was successful. The lady officer immediately helped me, giving directions and kept me calm through it all. She also went out of her way to ensure the roads she was sending me on were all drivable and that I will be connected to cellular service soon enough. She went out of her way to tell me how many km I would have to drive. I only wish I knew her name so I could give my thanks in person. I will never forget the kindness of the officer lady who helped me that night. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I have since bought a gps, compass, maps, and a phone that lets me get text with no service to ensure this never happens again!
