The Beach Motel

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Motel a few weekends ago. Even though the weather was a bit uncooperative (as it usually is during the "spring"), it didn't diminish our experience in Southampton. The hotel definitely has a beachy vibe and there's so much attention to detail paid to the rooms, the decor, and the available activities here. Of note is the second floor outdoor patio with plenty of seating, a cozy fireplace, and two (outdoor) wicker hanging chairs for every room. Since it was raining for the majority of our stay, we didn't get a chance to try any of these out, but I can only imagine how great it would be to just hang out in this space on a lazy summer afternoon. Our room was very modern and clean. But what I appreciated the most were the small touches, like complementary umbrellas for use, comfortable slippers, fluffy robes, and a coffee/tea bar. The common room also featured a large communal television and board games that you could borrow to take back to the room. The latter really came in handy while we waited for the rain to end. We opted for the "Explore the Shore" package, which came with a list of sights to visit in Southampton. Although we arrived a little late into town and didn't get a chance to visit all the locations, we loved how the package really showcased the community feel of this town and supported the local businesses. The hotel staff was warm, inviting, and took the time to chat with us. We'll definitely be back!

Rooms: Cute, simple, attention to detail, clean Walkability: The beach is only 2 min away! Within a 10 min walk of everything else! Food & drinks: Lovely simple breakfast held in the cutest of lounge spaces. Coffee and cocktails on the rooftop terrace beside the fireplace was a complete delight!

Nearby activities: Plenty of things to do in town and nearby. Walkability: Within a few minutes walk you can be to the beach or downtown.
