Recommended as a nearby (4km) place for good food from the staff at Queenston's MacKenzie Printery without the crowds associated with dining in NOTL proper. Very good lunch special of fried chicken accompanied by salad, fries and a spicy mayonnaise dressing, crispy and not at all greasy, fries were especially tasty too. Appetizers include flaming Kefalotyri Cheese. A local Blackburn beer available on tap, friendly and efficient service, nice patio area or eat in dining available, we opted to dine al fresco but the 4 corners location at York Rd & Four Mile Creek Rd in St Davids can be noisy periodically (Harley-Davidson is just up the road). Well priced, good food and drink, definitely give this wonderful Mediterranean restaurant a try.

Our visit to The Old Firehall Restaurant was generally enjoyable. The Mediterranean shrimp and Escargot appetizers were a true delight, both rich in flavor and well-presented. We also had a chance to try local amber beer (though the name of the brewery escapes me now), and it was very good. The Saganaki and French Onion soup, while decent, were a bit oversalted to our taste. The chicken souvlaki, however, was a bit disappointing. It was overdone and dry. The service throughout our visit was excellent, the waitress was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome.
