they called me yesterday from Dr Wayne Hanson's office but i didn't answer because I was at work and they were closed when I got home, been waiting months for this referral. Called them back today and they said we call you once if you don't answer the referral is rejected and we don't see you, you have to start the referral process all over again with your doctor. What a joke, lady i spoke to was rude and clearly didn't like her job. Edit: changing my review to 5 star. The initial contact went poorly but they have since been pretty good. Dr Hansen himself is great and his receptionist has gotten a lot better maybe was just a bad day that day.

I went in to see Dr Hanson to learn more about my tinnitus and possible cures or procedures. He preformed a few routine tests, and explained before and during what was happening. I understood and agreed to the tests. Until he wanted to see in my ear, he did not notify me of any pressure that I would have experienced during this routine Pneumatic otoscopy examination. The left ear was first, I flinched when he used the pump, two light pumps filled my ear canal. It was very uncomfortable. He made a comment about the pressure. He went to do the right, this time I was at least expecting the pressure, one pump, and then followed by two more MUCH stronger pumps, and he held the device longer in my right ear. Carelessness, perhaps he forgot he shouldnt apply full pressure? I dont know. All I know is I am paying for that mistake on his part. I went home feeling more pressure in my right than my left. 3-4 hours later my ear was in excruciating pain. Pain continued though the night into the early morning. I went to a walk in clinic in London ON to find out my ear drum in the right ear has retracted, which is where I am feeling the pressure. My tinnitus (ringing) is worse now with the pressure. I was prescribed ear drops to help the drum go back to normal, I am still with no relief. I will not and would not recommend Dr Hanson. I must also mention there was no cleaning or prepping between patients.

In April during the high of covid I had an appointment that I had to cancel because I have 3 special needs kids and the government implemented that no one was allowed in your home and I couldn't take my boy's to the appointment, the secretary was very rude had no understanding of the government rules or cared about it and now saying pay up that the scoop that I need to see if I have thyroid or larynx cancer but I'll be on a list till 2025 unless I pay and then maybe you'll be able to see me in May. She's the most inconsiderate mean secretary I've ever had to deal with she has no compassion whatsoever. Wasn't my rules was government implemented, you should be waving the 80.00 fee.
