LASIK MD

The consultation was very informative and efficient. They were great with following up and answering any questions. I wish I knew time of surgery sooner than the day before as I needed to get a ride home and it's not easy to arrange without a specific time. The day of the surgery I was handed a ton of paperwork and I got overwhelmed signing it without someone to help me answer questions right away. Eventually I did speak with an associate about everything and got my questions answered and financing in order. The check up tests went well but then the wait for the surgery was very anxiety inducing! I'm sure there is a way to make it a bit more efficient as the long wait makes it excruciatingly difficult for someone like me who is anxious. There was actually a gentleman who left when he went in for the procedure, and even though I don't know the full details, the tension in the waiting room made it difficult to wait. When it was my turn I had a good chat with the surgeon and he walked me through the whole process. I opted to take the Xanax right before the surgery as I didn't want to wait any longer in the waiting room. The nurse was patient and clear with the after care and the following day check up was over in a few mins. I'm so glad I finally made the decision to do this, I just hope there is a way to improve the process in hopes of people who have anxiety feel more comfortable before the procedure. Overall would recommend to others, thank you again for your care.

3 days after my surgery and I see 20/20. Highly recommend Dr Hakim! He walked me thru the surgery and what was happening. I had dry eyes before and only understood after my surgery its made worse with lagophthalmos that I have (not closing eyes fully when asleep). I would have like to of known this before but just based off of my vision now it was still worth it. By end of day my eyes get really dry and sore. But with sleep and lubricating eye drops I feel better. Im hoping it continues to heal and feel like before the surgery. Thank you lasik md team in Hamilton!!
