Expensive.. service was great, the food was so-so. The oolong tea was delicious.. $350 for four people for high tea.. it was my 40th birthday on Mothers Day.. I was told my birthday would not be overlooked it was overlooked..My mother was treated better than my children and I were. This was our first time here for high tea. This will be our last. Food & drinks: ..the high tea sandwiches were not as nearly as good as described the Ophelia (gin drink) was very strong. I liked the marmalade the best out of everything we ate. Call around elsewhere..

Rooms: So spacious, very beautifully updated and fresh looking. The layout was so accommodating and inviting. There were many features that we are considering putting in our own home, thanks for the helpful inspiration! Nearby activities: We had a very lovely jaunt to the theatre to see a show, and loved seeing the proximity to the beautiful parks and tennis courts. Safety: The secluded parking lot made us feel secure leaving our vehicle there in the wake of the recent car thefts. Food & drinks: Incredible, decadent, so beautifully balanced with taste and presentation. The service was most impressive. We still can't believe we truly got to experience something on this level . Having travelled alot abroad and across Ontario, this place stands out most to us. Highly recommend. Every meal and dish and wine pairing was very well done. Our friend visiting was also delighted, she can't wait to bring her family to dine there also.

We absolutely love The Bruce. Its our favourite hotel to stay for special occasions or a rare night away from the kids. Its also kid-friendly, so its good for families. Rooms are decorated on traditional style but new, very clean. Love the jazz music playing in each room upon arrival. All rooms are also quite large with a good amount of space to hang out. The restaurant is delicious - both breakfast & dinner. Pool area is almost always empty when were there. Perhaps best of all is the incredible service. Every single person weve encountered, from front desk to cleaning staff to restaurant staff, have been the most helpful, accommodating & kindest. They truly seem like they care & will go out of their way to assist you in any way possible. The cookie line is also a great bonus. This place still seems a bit like a hidden gem & we cant wait to get back again.
