Travellers Motel

Outstanding value. About half the price of other motels just down the road. So very highly recommended for those attending The Stratford Festival on a budget. Very, very clean. It's a classic 60's style motel that has been recently upgraded and refreshed with new furniture and even some art work above the comfy beds. Room interiors are modern and very, very, clean. It's a bit out of town but within walking distance to most theatres. Fast food, mini-marts, and modest restaurants are nearby. The rooms include a small fridge and microwave, but no dishes or coffee-makers. >>> To be clear: the rooms and furnishing are modest. Not at all fancy! But everything is fresh, modern, and very, very, clean. If, like me, you are carless in Toronto and taking the bus form Toronto...this can work well. No need to pay more for a fancy B and B or hotel if you've already blown the budget on tickets. Stay here instead, and splurge on a taxi or two if need be. Pro tip: best to call the motel directly and book directly. They are actual humans who are polite and will their best to make you feel welcome. The motel looks tired form the outside, but the comfort and freshness of the rooms comes as a surprise. Did I mention, it is very, very clean?

Food & drinks: Located within a walking distance of a&w (1 minute); Wendy's,Montana,zehrs,Walmart,Tim Hortons, a second a&w in the mall, food basics, Swiss chalet,pita pit,Joe's variety,McDonald's crabby Joe's,papa John's ( all within a 15 minute walking distance for and average paced walker) and the downtown with its assortment of cafes,bistros, and bars is roughly 20-30 minutes walking distance also; the location is quite central to amenities but just far enough out of the downtown core that none pollution is minimal.

My time spent at the travellers made me feel accepted and in good hands. The people here have really restored my faith in human compassion and kindness. The Owners and staff accommodated to my Situation and for that reason they have earned all my stars in reviews. I would recommend to anyone , fancy or not you cant buy that kind of genuine hospitality.
