Lumina Eye Care

I simply can't say enough about this place! Dr. Yu is a true professional; highly skilled, patient and kind, and very gentle. Throughout the years I've had occasion to see two of the other doctors and their care and treatment was outstanding as well. The office is modern, immaculate, and is run efficiently. The staff take time to explain and answer questions. And they were most accommodating when I contacted them with an unexpected eye issue. It's actually a pleasure to go to these appointments. Lumina Eye Care could be the model for other health care facilities...how I wish all clinics were like this!

Dr. Yu is excellent, she is a five star optometrist. The two star rating is for the prescription glasses i purchased at Lumina Eye Care. In January i purchased a pair of Tiffany Eye Glasses, costing $670. It is a half frame (the lenses are held by a wire to the top half frame) less than two months later, the lens on one side just popped out. The wire had snapped at more than one spot Luckily this happened when I was at home and the lens just hit the floor without damage. If i were outside or driving..who knows.. I expected a good quality pair of eye glasses for that price and i was definitely disappointed. An update to my previous post: Lumina Eye Care contacted me. They first offered to fix the frame, and subsequently replaced the frame. I appreciated the prompt response and the solution was satisfactory.

I can't recommend this Lumina Eye Care highly enough. In fact, I already have recommended it to family and friends. I started seeing Dr. Joanna Yu a few years ago. Her clinic employs friendly and professional staff. The clinic is clean, modern and has high tech machinery. It also has a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. Dr. Yu has a gentle demeanour (I'm terrified of going to the eye doctor but feel comfortable with her) and explains everything thoroughly.

It's always an enjoyable experience with Dr. Yu and the staff at Lumina Eye Care. Highly relational, helpful, and knowledgeable I don't believe I've ever had to wait for an appointment either which is always a pleasant surprise for any health-related care.
