NewRidge Refinishing Group

We have been very happy with the team from New Ridge Refinishing team. We had new raw red oak stairs installed in the middle of a renovation (bad timing...) and New Ridge worked with us to optimise the timeline for staining/finishing, while still keeping the stairs covered and protected from demo work for as long as possible. They were flexible and understanding when our dates changed at least three times. (Sorry!) Most importantly they were so responsive with communication. Within hours of submitting a request on their website, Scott called me to fully understand our challenges. This was followed with a video clip of Scott suggesting the work that would be required, and an approximate estimate. Brian then showed up on site to finalise the estimate and he chatted back and forth with me whenever I needed, he always responded quickly even when I said "don't reply, wait until Monday". The only thing I wished is that I had more time to choose the stain colour, but that wasn't their fault - we had a really fast turn around in the end. And ultimately, even though we didn't have as much time to ponder as we would have liked, their suggestion was perfect and we are more than happy. (I will share photos next week after the painting is complete around the stairs) We worked with Brian, Colton, and Paul. I dealt primarily with Brian, although the initial communication was with Scott. Brian orchestrated the plan and did the flooring repairs we needed after we removed a door and wall around the stairs. Colton and Paul did the finishing work for the stairs/handrail/posts. They were all diligent workers and stopped only for lunch, or my interruptions. In complete honesty, I will say one thing to prospective clients... don't be put off by their initial marketing tactics. You're going to get emails and follow-up texts through an automated system and it is annoying and for me, off-putting. I'm not a fan of those approaches, but I'm so glad that I chose to take the perspective that the approaches were just a demonstration of someone's deep passion for their work, and I trusted the reviews. I am a very happy customer and I know that if there were any issues (which I highly doubt) they would show up at my door looking to make it right. These are great guys, who do great work. We will be hiring them back to refinish our hardwood floors to match the stairs once our budget allows :)

We are extremely satisfied with Matts work refinishing the floors at our 1950s bungalow in North York. They were in bad shape, and we weren't sure if they could be saved. He meticulously inspected what we had to work with, then provided his detailed plan for how to proceed, which involved some repairs, a lot of sanding, and transitions between rooms It was very clear that Matt cared about every detail as he worked through the project, and he communicated everything we needed to know. The work was completed on time with no issues along the way. His efforts have breathed new life into our house that we will certainly enjoy for years to come. He's truly a master of his craft We would gladly recommend Newridge Refinishing to anyone looking to have their hardwood floors restored
