Great place to see some animals

A generally quiet park, with a boardwalk, old train, tugboat and a sculpture. There's not a significant amount of information about the boat/train/sculpture, and the boat/train cant be entered by the public but they're neat to look at. The area is near downtown Fort William and sees a fair number of drug users and people struggling with homelessness. While these people mostly keep to themselves, some people may find this uncomfortable to be around. Not suitable for kids, as there are often needles and broken glass lying around.

My family and I do not feel safe going to Kam River Heritage Park with all the homeless people living there with there tents, its supposed to be for the pubic area to visit, were are they going to go once winter arrives they can't just stay there when it gets cold outside, another thing whats happening with that Blue Cargo Trian just sitting there thats has newspaper taped to the window, they should really consider making that Blue Cargo Trian into a musem, especially when you drive or walking underneath Kam Bridge left hand side of the wall is all cracked almost looks like the top the trian bridge holding on by a thread feels like it hasn't been fixed since the mid 90s.

Good boardwalk for biking, walking. Nice views of the river. Signs reminding us of the grain and shipping history.

Surprised this was listed as an attraction. Tugboat half submerged, drug needles littered the area. Generally not where I would visit or take kids. Has a lot of potential in the future.
