Neptunes Hideaway

Kim and Michael were such warm and down to earth great hosts. We stayed here from August 28th-Sept 4th, 2022 and from the time of booking till the time we left they were polite, understanding, accomadating and just great people. The cottage was so cute and it was just the right size for our family. With the water so close for kayaking and the deck by water for afternoon happy hour we were very happy and found this stay very relaxing

Amazing cottage in a stunning location. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay here. The cottage was very well maintained, very clean and nice. Very comfortable cottage .We had excellent nights sleeps in super comfy beds. My son really had fun on kayaking in lake huron. I highly recommend this place to everyone, the cottage owner Kim was Super nice, friendly and very accommodating. Everything we needed was provided. We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next summer. Thank you kim for amazing stay !

My family had an amazing time at Neptune's Hideaway. We booked the Cypress Cottage. I can't express enough how impeccably clean and well-maintained the cottage was. Truly exceptional. The surrounding property is stunning, steps away from Lake Huron and immersed in the beauty one would expect from the Bruce Peninsula. This place is perfect for families to get away from city life and really enjoy peace and quiet in nature. The owners were so attentive and accommodating. We celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday while we were at the cottage and the owners were so kind to bring balloons and a gift for her... such a kind gesture. I hope we have the chance to return one day.

Just like the name indicates, staying in Neptune was such a wonderful hideaway from normal busy city life. Its located in the forest and by a cove of Huron Lake, which brings super peace and tranquility, I really enjoy waking up in the sound of the nature-birds and insects humming. Setting up bonfire with my kids when dark falls , chatting and roasting marshmallows under starry sky was also an unforgettable experience for us. The cove has a long, shallow and clear water, which in my opinion provides safer and more leisure kayaking as we never tried before. If you are already skilled in kayaking, its definitely a easy work to paddle out from the cove into the deeper outer lake. The location is also perfect, as its within 10minutes driving to visitors center, Big/little tub harbor, singing sand and the little cove beach. 30minutes to halfway log dump. Previous comments do justice, our Huron Lake cottage has two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom, kitchen and living room is not pretty spacious but enough to accommodate 4 people. I really appreciate the neatness and tidiness inside the cottage which I cares much when I accommodate outside. Kim and Michael are really nice and gave fast response every time I texted them. And their recommendations for the scenery spots are worth for a go. Definitely Would recommend Neptune hideaway to friends who want to stay in Tobermory! Thank you!

The stay at Superior Cottage (one of the four cottages at Neptunes Hideaway) was excellent!! Everything was good about the cottage, very clean, spacious, very close to the lake, fully equipped with cooking appliances and other utensils. The cottage sleeps 6 people, and had a spacious living room and a large deck with a BBQ. The beds/mattresses were exceptionally good to ensure a good night sleep. The pillows, linens and comforters were clean and of good quality. The cottage owner Kim was amazingly helpful and friendly. I told her that the cottage was better than it looks in the pictures on the website. The Children enjoyed Kayaking in lake Huron. Relax yourself by the water or set up the camp fire (fire wood supplied at a cost of $6). Trust me you are going to love it!!!
