Kiloran Cottage

We were initially concerned about our booking as we read quite a few poor reviews on this property. However, to say we were positively surprised would be an understatement. First of all, the owner Cynthia was very responsive in answering all of our questions before we arrived. The property is in very good condition, and very spacious for our group of four. The outdoor space is decent sized, and we particularly enjoyed the fireplace & lawn chairs. Location is excellent, being a short walk away from restaurants and the grocery store. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Kiloran!

We were all expected to do hours of cleaning upon arriving in this place because of the reviews, but it was a lot better than expected. It was spacious, had a large yard which included a place to lit campfire, swings, and is located most conveniently by the harbor. The only downside was the queen size bed room door couldn't be closed, and some rust have come through on pans, but honestly? Nothing that can't be worked around. The TV had hdmi cables too, to my pleasant surprise since I was expecting an ancient one. The owner was also nice enough to let us leave the garbage on the porch and she'll take it to waste disposal so we don't have to do it ourselves.

Beyond disgusting, it was a dump, bbq broken, inside was full of pet hair and not cleaned in ages, there was green fermented stuff in drawers, fridge smelt really bad, and left over stuff in fridge from months, we also found rotting meat pieces in kitchen. We had to sleep in our van and cars, Any sane human could not be living at this cottage. Please do not waste your money and if you are paying over $50 a night for this dump, you are being ripped off!! PS Driveway was spray painted 'GO AWAY'. I SHOULD HAVE!!
