Grandview Motel

Perfect! Small motel with great location with incredible views from the deck. We stayed 2 nights and watched the sunset both nights. We also had a great view of the ferry loading and unloading. (Blanket in room was a nice touch for the cool evening on the couch on the deck). Rooms are bright and clean. Bed was comfortable. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom since it was May! Coffee, ice machine and microwave in the office were used and very convenient. We didnt use the bbq but another family did. In front of the motel is a water access deck for diving with a bulletin board showing what wrecks were there. I would recommend this place to others.

Spent 2 nights at Grandview Motel. We arrived before checkin time and they were able to give us our rooms before time! The room was neat and tidy however the bathroom was small and the shower very tiny. That is probably the only negative feedback. They have an office space stacked with tea/coffee for self serve and the staff was friendly. The best part of this stay was the view from the deck which was stunning. Best place to watch the sunset. Did not take pics of the room but here are some pics of the deck view :)

Went back in 2021 august, beautiful place, deck has a lovely harbour view. Close to lovely harbour. So relaxing, friendly staff, morning coffee provided and ice machine. Loved it Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 More

They had overbooked their rooms. Good thing we showed up with our printed and emailed confirmation of 2 beds but they could only offer us 1 bed, which made for an uncomfortable stay. The woman who helped us even claimed we were wrong until we showed her the emails we received that confirmed our booking. While we remained polite, she lacked professionalism by being unkind, accusatory, and never apologized after she saw our confirmation email. The next day, there was a room available (matching our original booking) and she said we didnt have to pay extra for our new room as if she was doing us a favour. I remained polite the entire time throughout our stay with this condescending service, but I realize now in hindsight, we were very mistreated by the staff. I can sense they have prejudices against certain people and that they do not treat all guests equally. I also had red bumpy bites all over my torso when I got home. I don't think they were bed bugs but I immediately washed all my clothes, to be safe. I had called the motel after and they said it wouldn't have been bed bugs and that it could have been other bugs while hiking. To be safe, check the mattresses before sleeping.
