I provided all the required documents via email as requested. Robin was the CPA doing my taxes. Unfortunately, the result was inaccurate/false information being reported to the CRA and Revenue Quebec. When I asked Robin to correct the information he said that this particular information would not affect the amount due/to be paid by me. I replied that ultimately, I wanted the information to be corrected so that the CRA would not have false information in the report. Robin sent me the documents and said that he made the changes in the documents. Unfortunately, it turns out he did not update the changes with the CRA or with Revenu Quebec. After a difficult time reaching him via email, I called to discuss the situation. He said that he could not make any changes and that I should not have asked him a question with a screen shot (this caused him confusion) because he is busy during tax season and that I can make the changes myself with CRA and Revenu Quebec. The fact is, I have all the emails we exchanged which unequivocally show that he got confused because he wasn't paying attention to the emails which is what he alluded to in his response to me. It's truly a disappointment. I noticed another review with mention of incorrect information being used so perhaps this is not uncommon. I paid to have a service and ultimately I need to make changes to make sure the reports to CRA and Revenu Quebec are an accurate representation of my situation. ***Note I have improved the rating after the response from the company mentioned they would improve their processes. That's always the best move for success.
