I'm so grateful for the community acupuncture clinic. All of the practitioners are knowledgeable and warm, and the booking system is easy to use. I feel so held and seen at the clinic, which is so healing when working through a chronic illness diagnosis. After several acupuncture treatments, physiotherapy, and a protocol prescribed by naturopath Emily Rotella, I am now (mostly) pain-free and able to work full-time again -- entirely unimaginable a few months ago when I was barely able to walk and plagued by intense fatigue.

Visited on the advice of my physiotherapist who recommended I try Ashwagandha for post-menopausal sleep issues. I've never tried any homeopathic or natural remedy of any sort before (I'm pretty healthy and low maintenance). The young woman who sold me the product asked no questions (beyond did I want it in tea form or as a tincture...I had no idea and as she had no recommendations I went with the tincture). She didn't tell me what the base solution was until I asked (this was after she had already made it up), and even though I was surprised when she said Ethanol, she provided no further comment/explanation/warning. I had to ask what the ratio was (1:5) and then I had to ask what the concentration of active ingredient was (she didn't know!). I asked how to take it (answer was vague) and when and how much...her answer was that for legal reasons they couldn't recommend a dosage! What?! You can sell me a product without disclosing the active ingredient concentration but you can't advise a dosage? Final straw was the woman who rang me out handed me a plain brown bottle with no label!! How is that legal/professional? When I asked if there was a label she said "Sure" and handwrote "Ashwagandha" on it. That's it. Seems wholly unprofessional and deeply disinterested for a quasi-medical transaction. So there you go. Am not expecting much from the product after that experience. Also determined to go back to my low maintenance ways!
