Parkside Place - 55 Triller Ave

Absolutely disgusting, this building is inhabited with roaches, mice and bed bugs. Don't be fooled with the recently renovated units and the view. ITS NOT WORTH IT! I am moving out the first day after my lease expires. The office never takes ownership for issues either.

Jan 2023: I emailed the management office with photos of the conditions of the laundry machines, including a front loading machine that had feces in the rubber gasket. Their response was to post a sign highlighting that tenants are responsible for cleaning the machines. There is a tile in the laundry room that hasn't been attached to the wall since at least April 2021 May 2022: prospective tenants are being told by the rental agent that there is central A/C. There is no A/C. March 2022: The CEO of Metcap doesn't want tenants being honest about their experience because it makes them look bad. As soon as I have a positive experience, I'm happy to post about it. I got home yesterday after painting had been done in my bedroom. Painters got paint on my curtains and an item of clothing that was on my bed. Management did not apologize and said they would find out if the paint can be "washed". They had also said they would repair the ceiling in my living room, which has been an issue since December 2021. They did not even start that work, even though I had moved all the furniture in preparation and arranged to work elsewhere for the day. They are to return today (3/30/22) between 9 am and 1 pm for this repair and I will remain in my unit to ensure the work is done. February 2022: Despite numerous reminders that 24 hours written notice for entry is legally required and apologies for when this hasn't happened, I came home today (2 hours after an emailed apology) to find workers had been in my unit without permission or notice. May 2021: I have a mushroom and mould growing in my kitchen due to an unresolved leak they insisted was fixed. This was only addressed with Metcap took over management of the building and involved us moving out for 9 days while they "renovated". The job was shoddy; the tile looks like a small child did it, and the paint job started to crack right away. I had to insist that they send someone to deal with the reno debris left behind Poor maintenance of building, especially in basement. Since Starlight and DMS took over the building in December 2019, there have been frequent issues including pipes bursting and flooding several units.
