I would avoid their mediation process to be honest and take your complaints to the college. The mediation process was extremely frustrating, not at all impartial and at the end the mediator tried to almost intimindate me into taking what's offered while not even bothering to look at all my supporting documentation. I had a procedure gone extremely wrong and left with pain and I felt like I spent all my conversations with the mediator defending myself which was incredibly frustrating. The mediators are also dentists so there's only so much impartiality there. I would absolutely avoid this process. I would give it zero stars if I could.

There maybe gap / delays and mis-communication between some dentists and certain insurance companies when it comes to claims or something. Is it either the dental fee is too high so there is a held back (3-6 mons) from the insurance claims or something else?? I am the new patient and I express that I can't afford to pay the fee upfront in my current circumstance. Some specialist ' s dental assistant stated over the phone that they don't want to deal with the insurance on my behalf for whatever the reason is. I am being caught in between these groups for unresolved past issues. There is also delay in booking not until Spring. Is this the truth that you are telling me or just a nice way to refuse me? As a result, I can't even access or see a good specialist-dentist of my choice and so forth.

The ODA has really stepped up during the pandemic to not only support it's members and the Ontario public, but also their employees. Necessary equipment for working effectively was delivered to employees, which has made my job a lot easier than my previous job where I was working entirely from my personal laptop and personal phone. My colleagues have all been extremely supportive during the onboarding process, and I have already been presented with opportunities for personal and professional growth in the three months I have been with the organization.
