Sun Wa Book Store

I dont consider this to be a real bookstore. Theres one wall of bookshelves with used books in simplified Chinese. However, theyre delusionally overpriced. For example, I once bought a book there that originally cost 34 (about $6.75 CAD by current exchange rates), and they wanted $17 for it. Im sure the place is fine if you want to send letters, or buy stationery and lotto tickets, but as place that calls itself a bookstore its a huge disappointment. They also never buy new books, so if you go once, theres no point in ever going back.

Neighbourhood staple for at least 25 years. I wish there were more ways I could support them but they have downsized a lot now. The clerk helped take my baby's passport photo and was very nice about how many she ended up taking to get the right face/eyes/mouth closed for the passport. You can find Canada Post, lotto, newspaper, random stationary/plushies, and New Year deco here.

They helped with my passport photos so fast. And you can buy TTC ticket,drop Canada post, buy many surprising fun stuff from there, one stop.
