Chau

Chau was our wedding caterer and they did an exceptional job to of both creating and delivering a custom Korean-inspired menu for our wedding cocktail hour and reception buffet! It was very important for my husband and I to have elements of our Korean culture represented in the food served in our wedding and Chaus ability to incorporate elements of the flavours we wanted into the menu is a testament to their skill and creativity as a caterer. Their responsiveness and professionalism when working with us to create the ideal menu and handling unexpected problems during the planning process was wonderful and demonstrated their dedication to making sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, the food was presented beautifully, and our wedding guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything tasted. In particular, the Korean Chicken Baos and Korean Popcorn Chicken appetizers were very popular and went out fast! We highly recommend their catering services as Jane, Ashley and the rest of the Chau team will work hard to create a custom menu that perfectly fits your tastes and preferences and deliver an unforgettable food experience at your wedding!

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday and hired Chau. My experience was excellent from my 1st phone call with Ashley, the Event Coordinator until the last second of the event. We decided on 3 stations (Pho station, Chinese BBQ station and the Bao station) along with the bar service. The food was phenomenal and everything was so fresh. The 3 onsite chefs Jane (Chau), Jane and JP were friendly and interacted with our guests. The service was excellent, Ashley - the onsite server / coordinator was amazing, she took care of everything and as the host, I was able to enjoy the night. Jason the bartender was great. I hestiated at 1st with the bar service, I am so happy I book this as the bar service / Jason really elevated the experience. Do not hesitate on this one! Everyone complimented the food all night, they enjoyed the unique experience and how wonderful the staff were. If you are looking to host a delicious, memorable night, Chau is the way to go.

Chau Toronto catered our wedding in May 2022! Jane was so amazing to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate us! Chau created a customized modern cantonese flavours-inspired menu for us. She asked us all the right questions when my partner and I could not pinpoint what exactly we wanted and delivered far beyond what we even imagined! We received so many compliments on our food, especially the taco bar! Our original venue canceled on us at the last minute and Jane provided us with a list of potential venues that Chau has catered for in the past! When we decided on a venue that did not entirely meet the requirements cooking there, Jane simply said that she will make it happen and it did :) Jane also was very quick with responses, replied even late at night and communicated with other vendors to make the catering process smoother. Would highly recommend her to cater any social event!

We were so delighted with Chau for our wedding party this past September. We had about 100 guests at our party, held at a brewery in Toronto. A number of our guests had dietary needs (Vegan, gluten-free, celiac) and Jane and her team were able to create delicious options to meet everyone's needs. The menu was thoughtfully tailored to our tastes - we had an incredible BBQ station, with a generous array of custom BBQ sauces, with vegan options as well. We really loved the bao station, as did our friends! Something out of the ordinary that our guests still mention! The salads were creative, colourful and so flavourful. Jane was so kind to come and find us each time a food station opened, so that we could be the first at the station; this guided our guests to the next delicious delicacy and also ensured we got to eat! The set up and take down seemed to happen as if by magic, although I know a great deal of work went into it. Jane is a superbly talented chef; she and her team are so friendly, professional and kind. It was a pleasure working with everyone, from the early planning stages, to the tasting, meetings with our venue and of course the night itself! Thanks Jane, and everyone at Chau!
