BIPOC beware. I went into this establisbment thinking it will be easier than Sephora. When I walked into the store I was approached as if I was not welcomed. Once I wasn't interested in their suggestions body language was dismissive. The conversation in general felt forced so I got anxious which im sure was perceived as me not actually wanting to buy anything. My phone died and I lived at the corner so I said I would be right back. When I came back... The product had been put back on the shelf within 10 min of me leaving and coming back. The sales rep that took over the transaction checked to see what I was talking about and the coworker made a remark and he laughed. Proceeded to grab a product from the floor. I forced myself to ask questions to let them know I have skin care knowledge and wasn't trying to steal. If I was white or maybe dressed differently they would have held the product.

I have been using Kiehls products for a while now, but I wanted to write this review because my last visit to this store was unforgettable! I like how the company keeps improving customer experience with new treatments but also having a well-trained staff. Berta was the one who attended me and her expertise and dedication made me have this store in Queen St. as a reference store. She did a first skin assessment to check my skin health. My skin was dry and my skin barrier also needed improvement, so she used the skin activator utilizing different products to boost my skin and I loved the result :) I left the store feeling the glow in my skin that I even received positive comments from my coworkers the next day!! She also gave me product samples and told me about the new derma reader they will have soon in store, and I cant wait to try it. I recommend this store to everyone I speak about skincare, but also Berta as specialist because she helped me to discover many things I didnt know about my skin. Thanks a lot, seriously!!
