Severn Woods is a top notch, five-star construction company. While smaller projects aren't typically in their scope, we were thrilled that they agreed to take on our 'little' laneway house project. We benefited from their roster of loyal tradespeople who did outstanding work and managed to stay on time and on budget despite the pandemic. Their crews were kind and courteous - we actually enjoyed seeing them in our backyard every day! Laneway housing is somewhat new in Toronto but they were patient as we navigated the process and we are thrilled with what we built together. Their guidance and expertise were invaluable!

Hiring SevernWoods was one of the best decisions we took for our reno. You know how you hear all the horror stories of construction? How things went wrong, took so much longer than promised and the craftsmanship was just overall bad? Well, with SevernWoods the experience is exactly the opposite. The build was on time and on budget, I kid you not. The team is incredibly kind, and kindness is so important when undertaking such a big and expensive project where lots of money and emotions are involved. THey are not only kind but professional and just absolutely lovely humans. The Project Manager would oversee absolutely everything with minute detail and whenever something unexpected happened that needed to be solved, like it happens in construction when you transfer what is on the paper to real life, they would take the time to problem solve, consulting with the architect and designer to make sure that all input was in and that the decisions taken were the best possible outcomes. The trades SevernWoods hired were all very high quality craftsmen and you could tell every single person that worked in my house had a great sense of pride in the work they did. The home SevernWOods built for my family was built with care, patience, professionalism and a great sense of pride. Construction is a time of very high stress levels. We worked with SevernWoods to build our home. They were AWESOME -- professional, organized, great communicators. We were impressed by their attention to detail and their work ethic. As a team, they have a great attitude and pride in their work. It was such a pleasure to work with them. Building a home is a complex, stressful endeavour and SevernWoods was instrumental to the success of our project. Even with the impact of the pandemic, they were able to flex with this unprecedented situation and make arrangements to minimize delays. We are so pleased with the work they did and happy that we chose them for our project.
