Teatro Verde

I love Teatro, I have purchased countless items from this gorgeous store over the years and treasure each one. The entire store is eye candy and it is a destination with each visit to Yorkville because it lifts me up, makes me feel happy. I have come to recognize Shawn, the owner, and we chat if the store is not too busy, he takes great pride and guides me to some of his favorite gems such as the candle collection. I introduce Teatro to every friend I have who visits me from out of town. Teatro is so much more than a store, it is a magical, happy place that keeps calling you back time and itme again. The most amazing store!! But beware of the owner he is absloutly the rudest man I have met. I have bought many things in this store since moving from NYC, my friends did warn me about him. Well this time he was unreal, I was bothering him to pay for my things. So RUDE!! I told him have a nice day he said nothing and ignored me as I was paying. I guess he was not having a nice day. Never will I go in this store again, its a shame bc its wonderful!

Such amazingly cute things, however I do wish the product matched the customer service. I walked in today after observing their window display and went to the cash to ask an associate about it. He was incredibly dismissive to me and obviously was not interested in my business. When I had initially walked in, there were two other customers in the store, at which time the associate/owner was comfortably BEHIND his desk. As soon as the other customers left he shifted himself from behind the desk to watching me around the store. He made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. After which I had said to him "i'm not going to steal anything" he then responded with "i'm watching the store", again he wasn't doing this prior to me coming into his shop. He then closed with "you don't have to come here". No wonder there are other reviews about this unwelcoming energy this owner/associate provides.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Very rude store owner. Its unfortunate because this store has a lot of potential. Will not be shopping here again.
