No.7 Mexican Hot Sauce Inc.

Receive three bottles as a gift, tried the habanero and ghost pepper and I've been disappointed so far with the lack of heat. I looked at the ingredients and the hot peppers are the third or fourth ingredient after carrots and some other "taming" ingredients. To make it worse, it was the only hot sauce I took up for a guy's weekend, and everybody there was disappointed with the level of heat and the lack of flavor. I was just about to throw the remainder out when I thought maybe I'll just spice it up a little bit... I added a ghost pepper, habanero pepper, and 5 or 6 chili peppers to the magic bullet with a dash of white vinegar and once it was fully blended topped up the bottle with the remaining no. 7 hot sauce. After I gave it a good shake it improved the heat level considerably. So no overall, this is not a "hot" sauce at all, rather a corporate version of watered down peppers. I rated it a two instead of a one because at least they didn't put any sugar in it. When I'm buying hot sauce for myself, I always make sure the first ingredient on the label is hot peppers, and there is no sugar added. Otherwise, the quality was pretty good, the packaging was great, just very disappointing heat.

Recently tried the No 7 Habanero hot sauce and it has easily become my favourite! Goes great with literally everything.

Placed an order for 2 sauces. Unfortunately they arrived broken (one at the bottom the other at the neck of the bottle). They had soaked through the packaging completely. The customer service was quick and was able to refund my purchase. Lovely dealing with them, hopefully I will able to try next time I am in Toronto.
