Pape Market

Since the pandemic, and the very high increases in food costs, I pay extra close attention when pricing various food items that are sold at multiple grocery chains in Toronto. Unfortunately, its become clear to me that Pape Market appears to be engaging in extra price gouging - that is, I believe they are taking advantage of the trend in cost increases since the pandemic to mark up many of their food items overall and unnecessarily. For me, this is an ethical issue. Its too bad because Ive enjoyed shopping there for many years, the staff are helpful and friendly and otherwise its a fairly good store but I cant afford to be taken advantage of financially, nor taken for granted. Over time the profiteering has become more and more evident.

herrible place , They ask everytime to customers,, Ohh Your card didnt work.. please try again.. when I check my acount the has succesful. I paid 2 times.. Liar and swindler guys.. Better dont go there !

The worst store ever, outdated Ingersoll cheese ! The manager is a joke, where'd they find him in a cereal box ? I rarely write bad reviews but this place takes the cake then mangles it , changes the date and throws it back on the shelf ! Truly disgusting.

Wow.staff are so rude.asked to have my bread sliced.got the rolling eyes and the huffing.like how dare I bother this young lady.told that brute of a store Mgr.he basically just barked at me.thats it.I am done with this store.will let my friends know.not the first time I've experienced their poor customer service either
