I am a senior citizen and have been a customer of Home Hardware on Yonge (S) of St. Clair for my entire adult life. It is shutting down -Toronto needs more condos apparently . Especially in the Yonge St. St. Clair as there are only dozens of condos already. I will MISS this hardware store; the nice people that provide expertise and the best customer service. Having a neighbourhood hardware store is as important as a drugstore, grocery store and bookstore. This is hard for the community who supports the hardware store and considers the people and the shop part of our daily life.

Never have a good experience here. I get followed around the store from the moment I walk in. Terrible and racist. Good riddance.

New to the neighbourhood, first time customer. A wonderful gentleman took the time to educate me about lightbulbs, of all things (they have an awesome setup whereby you can compare the look of various bulbs, check it out!). I left with exactly the product I needed for a good price. This type of service is rare- make sure to support these folks.
